Higher education today carries a responsibility that extends well beyond imparting knowledge. It must prepare young people to think independently, adapt with confidence, create meaningful solutions and contribute responsibly to society.

TCET Deemed-to-be University stands at an important point in its journey. Built on a longstanding legacy in technical and professional education, the University now has the opportunity to bring together academic rigour, industry relevance, research, innovation and a multidisciplinary approach to education. Its progress should be measured not only by the programmes it offers, but by the quality of learning it creates and the capabilities its students develop.

I believe the most valuable education is one that connects knowledge with application. Students should have opportunities to learn beyond the classroom, engage with industry, work on real challenges, pursue research and innovation, and develop the confidence to question, create and lead. At the same time, technical competence must be accompanied by integrity, discipline, empathy and a strong sense of responsibility.

The future will belong to professionals who are willing to keep learning. Rapid advances in technology are transforming industries and creating new possibilities across every sector. Universities therefore have a vital role in developing graduates who are not merely prepared for the jobs of today, but capable of creating value in the opportunities of tomorrow.

TCET Deemed-to-be University has the foundation to build such an ecosystem through strong academic programmes, experienced faculty, industry engagement, research, entrepreneurship and opportunities for multidisciplinary learning. Its students should be encouraged to pursue excellence with curiosity, humility and purpose.

I am pleased to be associated with this institution as Advisor to the Chancellor and look forward to seeing TCETU strengthen its contribution to higher education, industry and society. The true measure of the University will ultimately be reflected in the quality of its graduates, the work they undertake and the difference they make.

I wish the students, faculty and leadership of TCET Deemed-to-be University continued success in building an institution defined by excellence, integrity, innovation and lasting impact.

Education has always been one of the strongest foundations of a progressive society. A university’s responsibility, therefore, extends beyond imparting knowledge. It must help young people develop the character, competence and sense of responsibility needed to contribute meaningfully to the nation and to society.

TCET Deemed-to-be University has built its academic journey on a strong foundation of technical education and is now entering an important new phase as a university. This transition brings with it a greater responsibility to create an environment where academic excellence is accompanied by ethical values, intellectual curiosity, discipline and social commitment.

In a rapidly changing world, students must be prepared to learn continuously and respond thoughtfully to new challenges. Technology and knowledge are powerful instruments of progress, but their true value lies in how they are applied for the betterment of society. Universities must therefore encourage students to combine professional competence with integrity, empathy and a clear understanding of their responsibility as citizens.

I am particularly pleased to see the emphasis placed on multidisciplinary education, research, innovation, industry engagement and opportunities that extend learning beyond the classroom. Such an approach can help students develop not only technical capabilities, but also the judgement, confidence and leadership qualities required to navigate an increasingly complex world.

A university is ultimately judged by the people it shapes. The true measure of TCET Deemed-to-be University will be reflected in the character of its graduates, the quality of their work and the contribution they make to their professions, communities and the country.

As Advisor to the Chancellor, I am honoured to be associated with this institution and its continuing journey. I hope TCETU will continue to uphold the highest standards of academic excellence while remaining firmly committed to ethical leadership, responsible citizenship and meaningful service to society.

I extend my best wishes to the leadership, faculty, staff and students of TCET Deemed-to-be University as they work together to build an institution of enduring academic and social significance.
