Established in the Academic Year 2008-2009, the Department of Engineering Sciences and Humanities (ES&H) plays a foundational role in shaping the academic journey of engineering students by delivering the common course curriculum to First-Year Engineering/Technology students with rigor and care. The department's academic foundation is built on a strong infrastructure comprising well-equipped, ICT-enabled classrooms, modern laboratories, and a dedicated departmental library with domain-wise book collections.
This is supported by a highly qualified faculty ensuring students receive quality instruction and mentorship right from the start of their engineering education. Beyond classroom learning, the department is deeply committed to practical and experiential learning, offering students access to well-established common facilities such as Seminar Halls, Multipurpose Halls, a Convocation Hall, and an Auditorium which host a range of workshops, technical sessions, and co-curricular activities that bring theoretical concepts to life. To foster holistic skill development and future readiness, students are encouraged to engage with a vibrant ecosystem of professional chapters and social bodies that cultivate leadership, teamwork, discipline, social responsibility, and communication skills essential for professional success.
This spirit of active participation and expression is further reflected in the department's rich publication culture, with student and faculty contributions across various magazines, newsletters, and proceedings, together nurturing a well-rounded, industry-ready, and socially responsible generation of engineers.
